ndrea Lee is a rising star at the LPGA Tour, highlighted by her first victory in the 2022 Portland Classic. Lee has been a champion in all tournaments, and she won nine matches in her college time at Standford University. She also had 17 straight weeks in the top spot of the Women's Amateur World rankings. In 2019, she won the Mark H. McCormack Medal as the top-ranked Women's Amateur in the final week of the season. She turned professional later that year. Andrea Lee was born in Los Angeles on 15 August 1998. She began playing golf as a child at age five under the guidance from her dad James. In four years she won 50 junior titles. The 2014 US Women's Open was her first major cut. with her father as caddie. She was just 15 when this happened. Her sponsors invited Lee to play in the 2015 ANA Inspiration LPGA Tour. She was however one shot short of the cut. Lee was a member of the USA's Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup and Women's World Amateur Team Championship. After joining Stanford University in 2016 she became the most decorated player of its history during that period. In the next three years she was awarded nine individual titles. Lee quit Stanford University to turn pro in 2019. Her amateur career includes an entire 17-week stint as her World Amateur Golf Ranking leader. Lee was also awarded with the 2019 Mark H. McCormack Medal following her season's conclusion as the top-ranked amateur. Lee's record as an amateur included four holes in one, and one albatross. Lee finished among the top 10 twice during her first year on LPGA Tour. She finished seventh in the AIG Women's Open 2020, which was held in the Kingsbarns Golf Links. Lee earned her LPGA Tour debut in the Portland Classic of 2022. Lee devoted her victory to her late father Min, saying he called me a champ and was always confident in my ability. He was a great man and I'm sure he is watching. Lee has previously competed in figure skating, soccer and Taekwondo. Lee's hobbies besides golf revolve around movies, shopping and performing.
